The health and well-being of our guests and staff at all of our events have always been our number one priority. We understand everyone’s concern and uncertainty over the COVID-19 and we are committed to being responsive to the needs of our customers. As a result, we recognize the additional importance of hygiene and cleanliness. We are currently taking proactive, preventative measures to protect against exposure to the virus in our office

What are we doing?

1.Following strict infection prevention in accordance with the Public Health Recommendation

2.Additional cleaning and sanitizing

3.Disinfecting surfaces routinely

4.Daily review with our team members about best practices.

How will this affect your booking?

We fully understand the current situation and are allowing customers that have booked an event or if planning to book and are affected by COVID-19 to reschedule their event approx. 2-3 weeks in advance with no penalty. They can also hold the event in the next following BBQ season 2022. If you have a date booked and have to reschedule due to COVID-19 and you are not sure of your new date, we will keep your event as “open” which will allow you to book a day that’s convenient for you within our 2021 or 2022 BBQ season. So there is no pressure to reschedule! Deposit are non-refundable, but will be transferred to your new date with no penalty!

Another Possible Wave?

In the event a second wave would occur we will be extending the option to reschedule your event to 2022 season with no penalty!

Are you concerned with having a BBQ event at your workplace?

Currently, customers are booking events as normal as they anticipate things will gradually get back to normal.  Employees will be going to work and eating together in cafeterias etc. So having a BBQ can actually bring the moral up in a situation like this. We have implemented numerous measures to ensure the safety of your guests and our staff.  Below is some additional information :

Here is what Simply BBQ Catering is doing to stop the spread of covid-19!

Currently, we operate in 4 individual commercial units (3 of them are connected by doorways).  We have setup food preparation in one of the units that is completely separate from day to day operations.  It will operate fully independent from the rest of our operations.  We are limiting the amount of staff per events and sending them out earlier to allow for more preparation onsite.  Along with limited the staff that meet at our head office rather then meet at the individual event locations.  Our office consists of 6 admin staff which will be limited to two office staff and the rest will work remotely.

At the events, our staff will be required to wear facemask and or protective visors and gloves during service.  Hand sanitizer will be provided at the events for all the guests to use! We are also using stanchion bars to ensure proper flow of guests in a unified line as well as markers to show the social distancing requirements. We are also offering extended lunches/dinner at no additional charge so guests can be staggered or employees can be sent outside to get their lunch 5-10 people at a time so large crowds don’t form and simply take their lunch back to their desks or eating area.  Our staff will have onsite handwashing station for the service staff to ensure proper hand washing onsite.  For an additional fee we can also offer a portable hand washing station for guests to use if available for rent.

It is very easy for us to practice social distancing throughout the event, and when it comes to condiments and salads, we are offering pre-packaged condiments and salads in “Give and Go” containers!

In the container would be limited selection of:

 “Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Ketchup/Mustard/Relish/Mayonnaise Packages”.

Salads will also be pre-packaged!

There is no additional fee for this!

Disposable Cutlery will all be individually wrapped.

We are optimistic that with everyone working together within the industry and community, this phase will pass with minimal effects and things will be back to normal within a couple of weeks. At that time, dates could be potentially at capacity. Having the flexibility to move your date will give you to opportunity to secure your event and in the event it has to be rescheduled that can be done very easily!
